چکیده

With the development of mobile intelligent devices, and social relations between carriers and devices, mobile opportunistic social networks have been eroded over time. In the network, the network topology and the message content have an impact on the performance of network communication. In order to make nodes communicate better, we propose an algorithm of pushing mechanism based on content and social role-awareness (Protocol of Content and Social Role-awareness, referred to PCSR). In this mechanism, we assign roles for the encounters by analyzing the context of encounters and connections between nodes. Then corresponding pushing ways are designed according to the roles. In the experiment, PCSR shows a higher global precision and recall comparing with PrefCast. Meanwhile, we analyze the PCSR algorithms in maximum moving distance of nodes, survival time of message and similarity thresholds.

CAMEO: A novel context-aware middleware for opportunistic mobile social networks

Mobile systems are characterized by several dynamic components like users’ mobility, devices’ interoperability and interactions among users and their devices. In this scenario context-awareness and the emerging concept of social-awareness become a fundamental requirement to develop optimized systems and applications. In this paper we focus on a novel category of pervasive and mobile systems des...

WaterChat: A Group Chat Application Based on Opportunistic Mobile Social Networks

—Recently there are emerging applications based on opportunistic mobile social networks, which are kinds of delay tolerant networks (DTNs) with social relations between the nodes. In such networking scenarios, messages are disseminated through intermittent connections in a store-carry-and-forward manner. A major advantage of the opportunistic mobile social networks includes enabling communicat...

Effects of Content Popularity in the Performance of Content-Centric Opportunistic Networking: Analytical Approach and Applications

Mobile users are envisioned to exploit direct communication opportunities between their portable devices, in order to enrich the set of services they can access through cellular or wifi networks. Sharing contents of common interest or providing access to resources or services between peers can enhance a mobile node’s capabilities, offload the cellular network, and disseminate information to nod...

Efficient Multicast Algorithms in Opportunistic Mobile Social Networks using Community and Social Features

Opportunistic Mobile Social Networks (OMSNs), formed by people moving around carrying mobile devices, enhance spontaneous communication among users that opportunistically encounter each other without additional infrastructure. Multicast is an important communication service in OMSNs. Most of the existing multicast algorithms neglect or adopt static social factors that are inadequate to catch no...
